Pontchartrain Conservancy is excited to announce a special new opportunity for the community. Join us for unique family friendly movie nights at the historic New Canal Lighthouse at 8001 Lakeshore Drive. Spend the sunset on the scenic Pontchartrain Lakefront and safely watch a film with your family in the company of other community members. Beginning in January 2021, we will host outdoor screenings of family friendly (PG or G rating) movies at the Lighthouse once a month, on the third Wednesday as soon as the sun sets.

Social distancing protocols will be followed to ensure the safety of all guests, volunteers, and staff. Films will be shown on a large inflatable screen. Guests will reserve a free space in advance. Attendance will be capped at 100 people (approximately 20-30 parties). Guests will be seated on the lawn, picnic style.

The dates for the first series are: January 20, February 17, March 17, and April 21.

Pontchartrain Conservancy drives environmental sustainability and stewardship through scientific research, education, and advocacy. We are partnering with community organizations, businesses and individuals who would like to sponsor the event series. Sponsorships directly benefit the New Canal Lighthouse, which serves as a year-round environmental science educational resource for the community.

Sponsorship comes with the following benefits:

● Executive Producer: $20,000

○ All of Director, plus:

○ Marquee logo placement on the top of the screen

○ Up to one-minute commercial advertisement at the beginning of each screening (subject to approval)

○ Opportunity to welcome guests in person

○ Reserved front row seats for ten at each screening


● Director: $10,000

○ All of Lead Actor, plus:

○ Logo displayed at film screenings

○ Up to thirty-second commercial advertisements at each screening (subject to approval)

○ Reserved seats for six at each screening


● Lead Actor: $5,000

○ All of Supporting Actor, plus:

○ Logo placement on printed program

○ Name of business displayed at film screenings

○ Blanket-side hot chocolate service for 2 at each movie

○ Reserved seats for four at each screening


● Supporting Actor: $2,500

○ Logo on webpage (2,000 monthly visitors) and e-newsletter (8,000 readers)

○ Listing on printed program handed out to attendees

○ Tag in 2+ social media posts on Facebook and Instagram promoting the event
